St. Andrew’s Church Choir

St. Andrew’s Church, Coulsdon has a strong musical tradition and the choir has sung at the church since it was built in 1914, and certainly as early as 1906 when Rev. Francis H. Roberts became the first Vicar.

Our Sunday worship is blessed with a mixed, versatile, robed choir providing organ and piano music week by week. The choir sings an introit at the start of the service, an anthem during communion and helps lead the rest of the worship.

Anyone interested in singing with  the Choir at St Andrew’s should contact me - we are always happy to welcome new members.  We do a variety of music here and hope you will find it inspiring and engaging.  Email me at:

The Organ

The organ was built by William Hill in 1904 for St. John’s Church, Deptford and was brought to St. Andrew’s in 1949.  It contains 1271 pipes and was extensively rebuilt in 2002 by Vincent Coggins.  It has two manuals and pedals and two sets of adjustable pistons.

Hello from our new Director of Music!

Hello, I'm Sam and I’m delighted to be here at St Andrew's Church in Coulsdon and Director of Music and Organist.  I’ve enjoyed a very warm welcome from my new choir, a great first service on October 2 and look forward to many more.  To find out a little more about me  Click here
