‘On the Third Day’ – a course for Lent starting 21 February and continuing for 5 Wednesdays, 7.45pm for 8.00pm in the Committee Room.  All are welcome to join in with this course, running during Lent, to explore the power of resurrection and what it means to live in the ‘glow of the resurrection as an Easter people’.  This is a brand new 5-session course, written by Bishop John Pritchard, for groups to discuss the following themes:

  • Have I got news for you?
  • So what? The implications of the Resurrection.
  • ‘Let him Easter in us’.
  • Celebrating and praying Easter.
  • A risen Church

First Aid Training Monica is arranging this at St Andrew’s Church for later in the year, to meet CTCs and individual churches’ needs.  The session will be run by the Red Cross, lasting 4 hours and include an AED (defibrillator) demonstration.  Cost will be £31.50 (tbc).  Please let Monica know by 19th March 2019, if interested in attending.

Day Seminar on Life Events This event is suitable for anyone involved in, and interested in ministry at times of key life events – i.e. baptisms, weddings and funerals.  The event will take place on Wednesday 28th February at St Mary’s Church, Chart Lane, Reigate RH2 7RN, from 10.00am until 4.00pm.  The Speaker is Revd Dr Canon Sandra Millar.  Please speak to Esther if interested. 

Woman’s World Day of Prayer A service will be help on Friday 2nd March at 10.30am at Coulsdon Methodist Church.  All are welcome.

Recovering from Divorce or Separation? New Beginnings is a support group for anyone who is suffering from divorce, separation or a broken relationship.  We aim to help people in a friendly, supportive atmosphere, to come to terms with the past, so as to make a fresh start.  The course is free, and will be held on Thursday 22nd February at 7.30pm, at St Paul’s Church, Howell Hill, Cheam (www.saintpauls.co.uk/newbeginnings).  The course is based on Christian principles, but not Christian promoting, and is open to everyone.  For more information, or if you wish to come, please contact Colin on 07855 245619, or email new.beginnings@blueyounder.co.uk.
